Roof Redesign

Following a fire that totally destroyed the unoccupied attic and roof of a colonial home, Monarch Architecture worked with the clients to evaluate options for reconstructing the roof to contain a new third-floor space. By alterning roof pitches, adding a rear gable and front dormers, a new play space and guest bedroom were determined to be feasible. Monarch worked quickly to produce a simple, schematic design so the clients could continue coordinating the rebuild with their contractor and insurance company.
