Urban Farm & Farmers Market Master Plan

While employed at Simon Oswald Architecture, Adrienne was on the design team for Columbia’s “Ag Park.” The nine-acre park houses a farmers market pavilion and an urban farm operated by the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture (CCUA). The master planning process involved understanding farm functions and how they interface with the needs of the public and the farmers market operations. The resulting Master Plan explored how infrastructure could be arranged to gain maximum use and efficiency in a safe, attractive and park-like setting. The Master Plan divided the project into phases with fundraising targets and created watercolor-esque graphics that immediately conveyed the concept to potential donors.
